About Jen

She's Been There. That's What Makes the Difference.

Hello, I'm Jen. I work with women who are struggling with unwanted weight gain, fatigue, digestive issues, and the frustrating symptoms that come with hormonal changes. If you've tried everything and still don't feel well, I can help you figure out why.

I've personally dealt with IBS, gut dysbiosis, hormone imbalances, and food sensitivities for most of my life. That lived experience — combined with my Master's degree in Nutrition Education and certification in Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy — shapes how I work with every single client.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all diets. I believe in digging deeper, finding what's really going on, and building a sustainable plan that works for your unique body and lifestyle. You are never alone in this journey.

A Registered Dietitian (RD) has completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nutrition, an accredited supervised practice program, passed a national licensing exam, and maintains ongoing continuing education. Jen also holds a Master's degree and is certified in Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy. "Nutritionist" is an unregulated title in many states — anyone can use it. When you work with Jen, you're working with someone with proven, verifiable clinical expertise.
Jen accepts several insurance plans for Pennsylvania residents including Independence Blue Cross, Keystone Health Plan East, AmeriHealth, Highmark Premier Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Aetna. HSA cards are also accepted. A superbill is available upon request for out-of-network reimbursement. Please verify your specific benefits and coverage before scheduling. Jen is not in-network with Medicare or Medicaid.
Diets don't work — and that's not a failure on your part. Jen's approach is not a diet. It's a personalized lifestyle plan based on your unique body, health history, food preferences, and barriers. Jen takes time to understand what's really going on beneath the surface and helps you build habits you can actually maintain for life. Many of Jen's clients have tried everything before finding success working with her.
Your initial consultation is a comprehensive 60-minute session. Jen will review your completed intake forms, discuss your full health and medical history, understand your current eating habits and lifestyle, identify barriers to success, and create a personalized care plan. You'll leave with clear, actionable guidance and a roadmap for your next steps. Lab testing may be recommended if it would help clarify what's going on.
This depends on your goals and health history. Some clients see meaningful results in 4–6 sessions; others benefit from longer-term support over several months. Jen offers session packages that are more cost-effective for those planning ongoing work. During your initial consultation, Jen will give you a realistic sense of what to expect for your specific situation.
Telehealth sessions are available, which allows Jen to work with clients beyond the West Chester, PA area. Note that insurance benefits are only available to Pennsylvania residents. Out-of-state clients are welcome to pay out of pocket or use HSA funds. Contact Jen directly to discuss your options.
Right Balance Nutrition has a 24-hour cancellation policy. A $50 late cancellation or no-show fee applies and is billed directly to you — it is not covered by insurance. This policy ensures other clients can access care and respects Jen's time. If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
